- While sensors are designed to be highly accurate, they may still produce occasional discrepancies due to technical faults, environmental conditions, or other external factors. The data is best used to understand patterns and trends rather than precise counts.
- None of the data published is guaranteed to be accurate or independently verified so may contain errors or inconsistencies.
- Work is underway to improve how data accuracy is monitored, resolved, and signalled on the dashboard.
- Temporary gaps may appear due to sensor outages or scheduled maintenance.
- Some countline locations are configured to count in only one direction.
- Some countline locations are configured to exclude certain transport modes from being recorded. As a result, some modes may show zero or no counts at locations where that activity may be occurring but is not being counted.
- Sensors vary in installation dates, resulting in different data collection start points.
- Some sensors may stop reporting data over time, either due to planned changes (such as relocation or removal) or extended outages and maintenance. This means data availability may vary across locations and time periods.
